Since inception, ChromaSource has been environmentally conscious. Our green initiative started with our building: we retro-fitted all the lights with high-efficiency bulbs, installed a programmable building control system allowing us to reduce energy consumption, and installed a state-of-the-art 98% efficient boiler system to heat the facility. We then pursued meaningful recycling programs. 100% of all wooden pallets are recycled, as well as all steel containers and drums, plastic containers, and the very paint we use to represent color. Residual paints and thinners are given to a local cement kiln and used as a fuel source in their process, effectively turning our left-over product into a valuable resource for others. We are pursuing water-based technologies via collaboration with vendors and customers in an effort to develop the next generation of color sampling.
